Utah High Schools Take the Pledge

In 2011 the Karl G. Maeser Prep Academy in Lindon, Utah sponsored an assembly about the importance of Spread the Word to End the Word followed by a pledge drive that nearly 650 students and faculty signed! Their assembly included a look at our perspective on those with disabilities, a personalized R-word video, and speeches from a few of our local athletes. Highland High School in Salt Lake City, Utah held a pledge drive during their lunch hours and had almost 600 students and faculty sign up to Spread the Word to End the Word, while Bingham High School hosted a pledge drive where 800 people signed their support for the Spread the Word to End the Word campaign.
